After gaining over 50 pounds when I was pregnant, I was determined to lose the baby weight and get my body back. As a new mom with a crazy sleep schedule, and a business owner with a crazy work schedule I knew I needed to enlist some help. One on One has exceeded my expectations every step of the way! I have had the pleasure of working with a few different trainers there and each does their job with unparalleled knowledge, passion, enthusiasm, and attention to detail. My workouts are constantly evolving to match my increasing strength and endurance. The trainers always find that perfect level where I am challenged past what I think I can manage, but never pushed beyond my limits.
From the second you walk in the door it is obvious that this is not just another gym, and these are not your average trainers. Everybody who works at One and One is passionate about what they do and their attitude is infectious; being in that sort of environment makes going to the gym not just bearable, but actually enjoyable! The level of service that you get from the trainers both during and between your sessions is nothing short of spectacular. Here are a few (of the many) things make One on One stand above any other gym.
- When I am with my trainer 100% of their attention is on me. They are never talking to other clients, checking their cell phone, socializing with the staff, etc. They watch every single rep of every single set that I do (and they do it with a smile on their face).
- All of the workouts are well thought out and written down ahead of time as part of a big picture. Trainers are never making up the workouts as they go along (though they are always able to adapt the workout if necessary).
- My trainer always makes sure I know what to do when I come in to workout on my own on my off days. They don’t just say, “go do 45 minutes of cardio.” They tell me exactly what do: what machine, what speed, what incline, what resistance, and for how long. They also check in with me each week to see how it’s going and if we need to adjust anything.
At the end of the day, it is clear that One on One genuinely cares about seeing me succeed. I don’t feel like they train me for an hour then forget about me as soon as I walk out the door. They are focused on my big picture goals and are constantly thinking about how they can help me reach those goals. Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give is that I’ve gone from someone who dreaded working out to someone who actually loves it (yes, that’s right, LOVE). I leave my sessions feeling accomplished and excited to come back and do it again! I am well on my way to being back at my pre-pregnancy weight and I truly feel that I could not have done it without the help of One on One.
