Sammy earned her B.S. in Nutrition Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University in 2015. She then completed her 44-week dietetic internship at the University of Maryland, College Park with an emphasis in information and technology management. Sammy previously was employed as a Clinical Dietitian at 200-bed community hospital. Her floor coverage included the stroke unit, pediatrics, general med/surg, bariatrics, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Her professional nutrition experiences include interning at the USDA contributing to their MyPlate initiative, wellness coaching in the corporate setting, and working with DC/Baltimore community-based programs such as SNAP education and DC central kitchen.
Fitness and nutrition have always been a large part of Sammy’s life. After completing the One on One Personal Fitness Training Instructor Program in June 2017, she is equipped with the expertise to be a true wellness professional. Sammy is motivated to help people meet their goals in a healthy, sustainable way.
Sammy lives in State College with her husband Owen. She enjoys being active, especially long distance running and biking.
