When I first joined One on One, I didn't have much gym experience and, honestly, I was nervous about getting started and being judged for where I was at. Like many people, I had open-ended fitness goals—I wanted to feel healthier, stronger, and more confident in my body, but I wasn't sure how to get there. From the very beginning, the trainers created a welcoming and encouraging environment that made those first steps much easier. They met me exactly where I was, listened to my goals, and helped me move past the intimidation I had always felt about fitness. Perhaps most importantly, I never felt judged by the trainers or clients, only encouraged to keep investing in my health and fitness!

Over time, my goals have shifted, and One on One has been there every step of the way. Whether I've been training for specific events (a 75 mile bike ride this year!), trying to build more strength, or simply aiming to keep a consistent workout routine which is vital to my mental health, the trainers have adapted my programming to fit my needs. Their knowledge, kindness, and encouragement have made me feel supported and capable of doing things I didn't think I could. I genuinely look forward to each workout session because I know it will challenge me in a way that's positive and sustainable.

Beyond the workouts themselves, One on One has given me something even more valuable—a community. As someone still building connections in State College, I've found that the relationships I've made here have made me feel more integrated and supported. The combination of expert guidance, genuine care, and community has made joining One on One one of the best investments I've ever made in myself. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who feels nervous or unsure about starting their fitness journey—this is a place where you'll be welcomed, encouraged, and surprised by just how far you can go and how fun working out can be!!
