A specialty of Harrison’s Wine Grill & Catering
These baked chickpeas are crunchy, spicy, gluten free and high in protein and fiber — a satisfying and healthy snack. They hold well and are great for salty-crunchy cravings. At Harrison’s we offer them as a gluten-free salad topping.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 (15-ounce) cans chickpeas, (garbanzo beans), drained, rinsed & dry as possible
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat the oven to 400°F
- Place the chickpeas in a large bowl and toss with the remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
- Spread the chickpeas in an even single layer on a rimmed baking sheet
- Bake until crisp, about 30 to 40 minutes. If taken out too early they will still be soft inside – so just keep checking them – it’s worth it!
