My experience with Take Charge has been so transformative for me. I only started at One on One for my fitness journey back in September 2024. I knew from that experience that I was able to commit to and follow my fitness program. So, when the opportunity for Take Charge was presented, I knew One on One would be able to make a weight loss program that worked.

I’ve spent a lot of my adult life worried and unhappy with my weight and trying so many things for weight loss. Some worked for a short time, others didn’t work at all, and the cycle continued. Take Charge felt different from the start with the amount of thought and care put into the program itself.

The core of what made the program work for me is the support and simplicity. You are logging foods and calories. You are meeting with the RD every week. Those things are simple actions, with support.

Before my first meeting I was a little worried that like other programs I’ve tried in the past, my calories would be restricted and I would struggle to enjoy foods. After my first meeting with Geoff, all those worries went out the window. My calorie goal for the day gave me room to eat things I enjoyed with thought and understanding.

That first meeting also introduced a workbook with weekly assignments. I feel the workbook is such an important part of the program as it gave me insight into how I look at weight loss and my values. Geoff and I delved deeply into the topics at our weekly meetings, and his support and understanding provided me with a great amount of confidence and motivation.

The support from Geoff and Callie was always amazing. I was surprised at how much support came from other members of the Take Charge program. Through the monthly meetings and the Forum, there’s so much that others in the program offered—from words of encouragement, to sharing recipes, voicing accomplishments, and sharing vulnerability. The group has each other’s backs.

The Take Charge program gave me tools to make profound changes in my life, and I’m very appreciative that I have the opportunity to be a part of it.
