Before joining the Take Charge program, I felt lost when it came to losing weight and keeping it off. I’d had short-term success in the past, most recently with the Noom app, where I lost 20 pounds for my son’s wedding, but I always ended up regaining the weight. Looking back, I now realize that I was just following instructions without really understanding what I was doing or why. There was no lasting change, and I never truly took ownership of the process.
The Take Charge program has been a completely different experience. The combination of individualized support from a registered dietitian and the power of the group setting has made a huge impact. I am much more knowledgeable about the fundamentals of nutrition. I now know how to build satisfying, balanced meals that fit my lifestyle and create a sustainable caloric deficit.
But the biggest change has been my mindset. I now feel empowered to take ownership of my choices and my health. That shift alone gives me hope that weight won’t always be a constant, low-grade struggle in my life. I’ve been consistently losing about a pound a week, and for the first time, it feels like something I can maintain.
I would highly recommend Take Charge to anyone looking for a balanced, supportive way to lose weight, once and for all!
