Looking back over the past year, I believe the greatest value of the Take Charge program was that it changed my perspective on weight management. Rather than focusing primarily on losing weight, it taught me how to build a sustainable process for making healthier decisions. That shift in mindset has been far more valuable than any single number on the scale.
The most important strategy I developed through the Take Charge program was creating more structure around my daily decision-making. One of the themes that has stayed with me throughout the program is that structure influences behavior. By changing the structure around eating, meal planning, self-reflection, and accountability, I found that healthier choices became more natural and consistent rather than something I had to force through willpower alone.
The program helped me understand that lasting change comes from building structure, increasing self-awareness, and consistently aligning daily choices with long-term goals. Those lessons have influenced not only my approach to health and fitness but also reinforced principles that I have found valuable in other areas of my life.
I also appreciate that the program encouraged reflection rather than judgment. It provided practical tools, accountability, and support while allowing me to develop an approach that fits my own lifestyle rather than expecting me to follow someone else’s. The Take Charge program gave me a framework that I expect to use for the rest of my life.
I am grateful to Geoff and everyone involved in the Take Charge program for their encouragement, accountability, and thoughtful guidance throughout the past year. Having completed one year in the program, I have a greater understanding of myself, greater confidence in the framework I’ve developed, and the belief that it will continue to serve me well in the years ahead
