One on One is the “gold standard” for safety and cleanliness. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have taken strong action to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for our clients and team members.

In addition to our daily cleaning procedures, our HVAC system incorporates both ERV’s (Energy Recovery Ventilators) to circulate new, fresh air from the outside and UV/hydro-peroxide plasma units to neutralize bacteria and viruses. In addition, we use medical grade MERV-13 antimicrobial filters for the system.

If you have experienced One on One’s fitness programming before, you know that nothing we do is “generic.” Each SGT participant does their own, individualized program. Our team of fitness professionals will design and deliver sessions that challenge each individual appropriately, as is consistent with their goals.

Consistent with our commitment to excellence, five hours is the minimum amount of lead time necessary for us to prepare the session and the facility.

Contrary to other, seemingly similar programs, One on One’s Small Group Training is a specialized, personal training experience conducted in a small group setting. To deliver this experience, we need to know who is attending before the session starts.

In the midst the COVID-19 closure, One on One created VSGT to help our clients stay fit while our doors were closed. Little did we know that it would become a successful, ongoing program servicing people in State College and beyond! Many value the convenience of training live with a One on One team member from anywhere.

VSGT sessions are performed via Zoom with up to 7 people. Sessions are scheduled through our online reservation system and Zoom meeting codes are found in our members-only forum. Expect us to send you instructions before your first VSGT session so you are set up for success!

For an additional fee, we will “master schedule” you into your preferred time slots. This works well for those who prioritize schedule and convenience above all else. It also is helpful for our staff as it contributes to less prep time.

Additional cancellation restrictions apply. If you would like more info, please check with a team member.

We cannot guarantee that you and your friends will always have a spot together when scheduling through our online system. However, if training with your friends is important to you, we can “master schedule” you into mutually agreed upon sessions (different rates apply).

In addition, if you have a group of five friends who want to train together at mutually agreed upon times, let us know and we will create a SGT schedule specifically for you.

Progressing a fitness program is not an exact science. We want our clients to see results as quickly as possible, but don’t want to move so quickly that they are excessively sore or get injured.

Communication is key! Our basic expectation of all clients is that they communicate with their trainer(s) in real-time about issues such as exercise intensity, exercise likes/dislikes and overall program satisfaction. The sooner we know, the sooner we can address the issue.

In addition, expect to receive other quality control communications via e-mail such as:

Program Evaluation Form (PEF) – PEFs ask detailed questions about accomplishments, goals, potential roadblocks and updates your medical history. PEFs must be completed a minimum of once per year. In addition to helping us with your programming, it provides us with updated contact and medical information.

A final note regarding our electronic quality control tools. This information is extremely important to our mutual success. Taking the time to share it is a small commitment on your part, especially when you compare it to the total investment of time you are making towards your health. Our most senior staff members use this information to help your trainer develop and continually morph your program, making it the very best.

A full 24 hours’ notice must be given in order to change, cancel or reschedule an appointment for there to be no charge for the originally scheduled session. Our objective is to create maximum availability and have the schedule accurately reflect what is available at all times.

Occasionally there is confusion regarding the “rescheduling” of a session to another time on the same day. Without exception, if you cancel the original session and reschedule during the same day, you will be charged for both sessions.

SGT participants should plan on getting to One on One 10 minutes prior to their session time. This allows them time to review the upcoming session, gather the necessary equipment and take a few minutes for movement prep.

If you cannot be here 10 minutes early, that is ok, but we can’t allow an individual who is running late to negatively affect those who were here in plenty of time. Coming to a session late is always a distraction to the instructor and other participants. What is more, it can be unsafe to come running into a session cold and immediately start training.

If, for whatever reason, you are more than 10 minutes late for a session, we ask that you not join the group. Instead, jump on a piece of equipment and get an endurance workout in. It won’t be as comprehensive, but will be beneficial and not detract from the experience for others.

Although it rarely is an issue, the simple answer is yes.

During a SGT session, the team member must provide an excellent experience and keep things flowing smoothly for five people. One bottleneck can negatively affect all five. SGT participants have committed to being here at that time and our team has prepared their session in advance based on that commitment. Team members can’t be expected to program around the chance that a piece of equipment won’t be available because an independent client is here and would like to use it. Accordingly, SGT clients are prioritized.

Although rare, there may be an instance when you are the only one reserved for a SGT/VSGT session. We must have a minimum of 2 reservations to host the session. In this instance, One on One will contact you with plenty of notice to give you the option to keep the time and convert it to a 30/55 minute personal training session OR reschedule to another SGT/VSGT session.

SGT clients managing their own schedule decreases the administrative demands on One on One’s staff, thus allowing us to provide SGT at a lower price point. For those who prefer to have a set, predetermined training schedule that precludes the need to schedule online, our SGT “Master Schedule” option is available for an additional fee.

SGPFP clients can schedule up to (approximately) 5 weeks in advance and are entitled to 8 SGT sessions each month as part of their monthly fee.

On the 25th of each month, SGPFP clients will have 8 sessions credited to their account for the upcoming month, allowing them to schedule themselves in advance. It is important to remember that, even though you have additional sessions available for booking on the 25th, any SGT sessions scheduled in the current month that exceed those included in your monthly program limit will incur an additional charge.

We ask that all Small Group Training participants be considerate of other participants when reserving Small Group Training Sessions. We must avoid a scenario where reservations are scheduled far in advance to ensure an individual has a spot at his/her preferred times, then cancels frequently within a short time of the reserved session, thereby holding a session time that another participant may want to use.

A Small Group Personal Training client may become inactive for one month per year without being assessed a new initial fee by making a $50.00 donation to either YSB or CVIM.

You can reserve a Small Group Training session up to 3 months in advance.

Yes. There is a 3 month expiration date when purchasing a bundle of 12 sessions and a 6 month expiration date when purchasing a bundle of 24 sessions.

The online reservation system has a waitlist option.  Always add your name to the waitlist for the session you wish to attend. If a slot becomes available, you will be added and notified via e-mail immediately. Additionally, if there are several people on the waitlist, we will do our best to create a second SGT session at that time to accommodate everyone. Again…always add your name to the waitlist.

Contact One on One with your schedule request. If there is demand, we will add the time to the schedule. You can also form your own Small Group Training. Once you gather 5 people, contact One on One with proposed times and days.

Yes, One on One accepts credit cards. However, a 3% administrative fee will be added to your payment. One on One accepts credit cards solely as a convenience to the clients who wish to use them. We do not spread this cost amongst our entire client base.

To enter your credit card information, log into the online reservation system and click the “purchase” button at the top of the page. Follow the prompts to enter your information. If you need help entering your information, Callie would be happy to help you at One on One.

Due to many factors, we cannot allow you to bring a guest to a SGT session. However, if you would like to bring your guest in to use our cardio equipment while you are in SGT, you may do so for a $25.00 fee. The daily fee for non-affiliated individuals is $40.00. In addition to the daily fee, we ask that your guest sign a waiver prior to using the facility. Special arrangements can be made if your guest would like to meet with a trainer or use the facility for an extended visit. Please call ahead when bringing a guest.

One on One has no childcare facilities. For their safety and the safety of others, children are not allowed in the facility unattended.

Shoes and shirts are required at One on One. Appropriate footwear is extremely important with training. Please discuss footwear with your trainer.  Closed toe shoes are required for use of the aerobic equipment such as treadmills, elliptical, bikes, etc.  On occasion your trainer may have you perform exercises in your stocking feet.  Going barefoot is not permitted.

Many people suffer from Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS). Individuals with MCS possess an unusually severe sensitivity or allergy-like reaction to many different kinds of pollutants, including (among other things) perfumes, colognes and scented lotions. We have several clients and staff members who are affected by MCS. Your cooperation helps to ensure that everyone at One on One has the best possible experience.

In order to improve the sustainability of your program and ensure your success, many of the tools used as part of your training program are available for purchase.   Foam rollers, resistance tubing, massage stick, Airex pads, etc. are all available.  Ask your trainer which tools would be beneficial for use as part of your independent exercise program.

One on One will be open and taking sessions in all but the most inclement weather. Should we decide to close or modify our hours, we will post an announcement on our online forum (oneononefit.com/forum/).

Please remember, the 24-hour cancellation policy is always in effect. We encourage our clients to keep an eye on the forecast. If the weather looks questionable, cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance.

It is not our desire to charge you for a session you don’t use, nor is it our desire to have you drive in unsafe conditions. Everyone has a different comfort level with driving in snow. What is unsafe for one is no problem for another. Accordingly, we must leave the decision and responsibility for managing your schedule up to you.
