When I started Group Training at One on One in 2012, I was overweight, had high cholesterol and lost my breath simply mowing the lawn. I needed to start exercising, but, like many of us, was apprehensive about getting started. However, with the encouragement of friends and neighbors, I decided to “show up.”

As I reflect, I’m pleased to say it was one of the best personal decisions I’ve made in my entire life.  My health has improved significantly. I have lost an unhealthy 20+ pounds and have had my cholesterol and blood pressure medications cut in half!

One on One describes its Group Training program as an “individualized fitness experience done in a group setting”. This describes my experience to a tee.  As a 60 year old with bad knees, I needed modifications and form corrections to ensure I was exercising safely and effectively. I was, and continue to be, impressed with the level of professionalism and care provided by the instructors. Since day 1, I have always felt successful and safe.

The Group Training community truly enhances my experience. The welcoming environment and mutual support made a big difference for me when I started. Now, 3 ½ years later, I enjoy being a part of a community that motivates each other and supports new participants.

If you are hesitant to start Group Training, I encourage you to “show up.” That’s all you need to do. The One on One team will take care of you from there.
